Nicole Bonnet's father, a legendary art collector ( and painting forger) lends his prized Cellini Venus to a prestigious Paris museum. but the statue is a forgery ( made by Nicole's grandfather) and before tests can be done, Nicole enlists the services of "society burglar" Simon Dermott (O'Toole) to steal the million dollar statue.
Wyler made a really cute and funny movie where all the cast is superlative.
