A young girl is kept isolated on her parents' plantation in the Amazon jungle and knows nothing about the outside world , until  one day she meets a young man who fled to the jungle to escape political persecution, and they fall in   love.
 
Everything in the film is so hackneyed, forced and fake that the resulting movie is so terrible that not even Audrey could save it.
It was a total,unsalvageable flop, the worst in Hepburn's career.
